Culture and Environment
In the construction of  resort you can see a variety of local traditions and customs which reflect the Balinese culture. Hundreds of artists took part in the extensive mural decorations of the buildings and the many statues in garden. But during the development of the resort, we have also taken into account the sensitivity of the nature.

Ingredients of highest quality In order to guarantee the quality of the recipes,  organic vegetables are grown by farmer Wayan Sarma (without in our own plantation) high in the mountains near Bedugul. The poultry, like pigeons and ducks, and essential for many of our exquisite dishes as well pigs for our home made sausages and ham, are being produced for us by special farms.

Garden
The North-West of Bali is blessed with a perfect climate for all kinds of tropical trees, plants and flowers. The garden of 4 ha/10 acres offers you a wealth of colourful vegetation varying from palm trees and melati trees, from bungeville and hibiscus to frangipani and oleander. They form the perfect habitat of a great number of tropical birds. Wake up early in the morning and wander through our garden, hear the singing of the birds and enjoy the magnificent colours of the flowers. The 16 bungalows with totally 32 spacious rooms are built in a traditional Balinese style. For the construction of the resort, which is harmoniously integrated into the beautiful countryside, only local materials such as sandstone, marble, palemanan, wood and bamboo were used.

Amertha’s 14 gorgeous villas are surrounded by lush tropical gardens and serene open spaces.
Guests may book an INDIVIDUAL SUITE or an ENTIRE VILLA.
When booking an individual suite, the pool and kitchenette MAY BE SHARED with other suite(s) in that villa.

Rates are based on villa/suite location, category and the number of guests.
The palatial Master Suites feature spacious vaulted ceilings, king beds, and oversized, Balinese influenced indoor/outdoor bathrooms.
The Junior Suites with queen beds are smaller versions of the Master Suites and offer similar luxurious amenities except TVs.
There are three categories of Villas and Suites, Ocean Front, Ocean View, and Mountain and Garden View.

The Restaurant and Bar:
The traditional designed and open build restaurant and bar are located at one of the three large lotus ponds and the beach. They offer open views  to the beach and the tropical garden with the pool.
A stage is located in the middle of the lotus pond, traditonal balinese dances are performed in regular intervals.
The restaurant is open from 06:30 clock to 22:30 clock, the bar until 24.00 clock.
For “long sleepers” not unimportant: Breakfast is served ala card when you you like, always fresh prepaired – up at 17.00 clock in the afternoon.
The antique restaurant-gazebos and daybeds are favourite for relaxing and romantic dinner.

Beachfront Pool

Coral Restoration Project
Snorkeling right off the beach at Taman Sari is an exciting adventure! Pemuteran Beach is well known for its Reef Garden Project, which is revitalizing the dead coral that was destroyed through fish bombing, global warming and other issues. This ‘rebirthing’ of the coral reef is being done through metal structures submerged in the ocean, which have a low passive electrical current running to them. This electricity motivates the growth of the coral, making it grow 5 times faster than normal. Since the success of this project, many new and different kinds of fish are returning to the reef to enjoy a safe and healthy eco system.

THE CORAL GODDESS
A living artwork dedicated to the health of our seas. The reef outside Bali Taman Sari Cottages along the bay in Pemuteran Bali is home to the awardwinning Karang Lestari coral reef restoration project using Bio-Rock, a method that takes advantage of a gentle electrical charge to enhance coral growth and survival rates.

When English Egyptologist & interior designer Diana von Cranach bought a barren piece of beachfront land in Pemuteran, an unknown fishing village on Bali’s northwest coast, 3 ½ hours from Denpasar airport in 1987, her dream was to build a tiny & very personal, laid-back luxury resort. Puri Ganesha opened in 1997 and since then Diana, together with her Balinese husband Gusti and their Dalmatian dogs offer a perfect tropical holiday destination that is beautiful, welcoming, and lovingly cared for. LOCATION
Puri Ganesha’s four very private one, two and three bedroom villas are situated on 400 mtrs of sand & coral beach in the quiet, unspoiled fishing village of Pemuteran in the northwest corner of Bali, near the National Park,at a 3 ½ hours scenic drive from the airport..

GETTING TO PURI GANESHA
The journey of about 3 ½ hours from the airport or 3 hours from Ubud to get to Puri Ganesha might sound terribly long, but the beautiful drive takes guests past volcanic lakes, the central mountains, coffee and clove plantations and through some of the most spectacular scenery on the island.
Alternatively, guests can travel to Puri Ganesha on the back of a Harley Davidson motorbike with a ‘jockey’ and car for the luggage, by limousine, helicopter or 6-seater charter plane that will whisk guests up to Pemuteran in 25 minutes from Denpasar airport!
Each of the four, two storey thatched, one, two or three bedroom beachfront villas face due east to greet the morning sun, have more than 350m2 living space, private 5 x 12 mtr swimming pools and garden dining pavilions. The gardens have antique rice barns for lounging by the white sand & lava beach less than 50 mtrs away

There are cool terracotta floors in the dining, living areas downstairs & on the wrap-around terraces that have antique day beds for relaxing, reading or just simply gazing out to sea. Each of the villas are individually furnished with interesting antique pieces from all over the archipelago and the soft furnishings have been specially printed or woven locally to Dianas designs.

A circular wooden staircase leads up to a terrace & wooden-floored master bedroom with adjoining shower bathroom & dressing room. The antique four-poster beds are surrounded by huge floor to ceiling windows that look out onto the calm Bali Sea. The Honeymoon Hideaway Villa has a large master bedroom with a 2 x 2 mtr2 antique four poster bed, separate dressing room with shower bathroom upstairs and an antique daybed, pantry, dining area and open garden bathroom downstairs. The terracotta-covered terraces overlook the pool and the beach beyond.
VILLA SENANG
In addition to the master bedroom upstairs, there is a double or twin garden bedroom downstairs.
A separate pavilion overlooking the pool has another double or twin bedroom and garden bathroom.
VILLA SEPI
This villa has a master bedroom upstairs and a double or twin bedroom downstairs. The fabrics – specially designed batiks from East & Central Java, have interesting colour combinations of cream, chocolate and dark blue.
There’s an ancient spirit tree in the garden.
VILLA SENYUM
Although the villa layout is the same as the other villas, as well as the master bedroom upstairs and a twin or double bedroom facing the beach, there is also an additional double bedroom with garden view downstairs
